You will build accountable relationships with community leaders and partners to position Planned Parenthood of Greater New York as a health care provider of choice.Additional responsibilities include:
  • Recruits, trains, and support Promotores de Salud to promote SRH education within their own communities and link community members with services at the PPGNY health centers
  • Coordinates outreach to Latinx immigrants, including partnership with various Consulates and other Latinx immigrant serving organizations.
  • Provides ongoing supervision and support to educators, including professional development trainings, monthly team meetings, and one-on-one supervision.
  • Coordinates collaborations with PPGNY departments and other Community Engagement programs to establish best practices for working with immigrant communities
  • Foster collaborations and communication with other Promotores de Salud programs within other Planned Parenthood Affiliates, the Federation and outside the Planned Parenthood network
  • Collects appropriate data and assists with program reports for funders
  • Designs and conducts community trainings and presentations and other trainings in conjunction with the Community Engagement Region 1 team

You have:
  • A demonstrated commitment to PPGNY’s mission related to bodily autonomy, health equity, and gender and racial justice
  • Experience working with Latinx immigrants, and knowledge about sexual and reproductive health
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Flexibility in work schedule a must; mornings, evenings and weekends on occasion(Regular schedule: Monday-Friday 9-5:30)
  • Willingness to travel to Schenectady and Hudson Valley Area
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Human Sexuality or other related field preferred, relevant experience considered
  • Willingness to work on-site

  • $53,500
