We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our Accounting team. We’re looking for someone with the vision, experience and passion to make a tangible contribution to our entrepreneurial culture. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mindset and a drive to deliver accurate results for our management team and clients.

As Junior Accountant, You Will

• Process accounts payable, which includes; invoice processing, invoice approvals, vendor maintenance, and payment processing
• Organize and enter data
• Process payroll and record payroll entries
• Assist in the preparation of month end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Perform other duties as required to support the finance function, this includes ad hoc tasks and reporting
• Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, company standards and procedures
• Ensure the accurate and timely compliance with statutory obligations and all taxes and fees as specified under the Laws of Jamaica

Requirements

As Junior Accountant, You Have

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, ACCA Level 2 amp; 3 or equivalent
• 3+ years of progressive experience in a related role
• Strong analytical and problem solving experience with attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting monthly reporting deadlines
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to learn accounting and reporting software
• Mindset and drive to be a highly motivated, quick learner
