This role is responsible for the preparation of invoices using Icabs amp; Accpac, filing accounting documents, customer amp; supplier interaction via telephone, Stock Counting and assisting with general accounting functions.
Main Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Finance Manager via Accounting Assistant, the selected candidate will perform the following duties but not limited to:
- Timely preparation of invoices for dispatch to client.
- Meet daily reporting deadlines and month end close.
- Filing of documents are done timely and correctly for easy of retrieval
- Record/count monthly inventory count, ensuring accuracy of amount and item description.
- Ensure that all queries and concerns regarding invoices are closed within the agreed time.
- Provide communication- verbal or written to client in a timely manner
- Assist with general accounting functions as assigned by Accounting Assistant (bank reconciliation etc.)
Requirements
Education/Skills/Experience:
- Acca technician level 2 or 3 or equivalent
- At least 2 years’ experience in similar position
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Good time management skills
- Knowledge of Sage (Accpac) will be an asset
- Computer literacy - Excel and Word
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written
- Ability work as part of a team
- Can work on his/her initiative and be able to accept instructions.
- Honesty and of good integrity
- Ability work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
- Overall good people person
