Key Account Coordinator

Job Introduction: We have an exciting opportunity for an Key Account Coordinator to routes outbound ocean freight shipments to their destinations and sells freight forwarding and transportation logistics services, by performing the duties outlined below.

• Develops list of prospective customers by studying business and Trade Intelligence Data, consulting business associates, and observing business establishments while driving through sales territory.
• Develop new business activities.
• Cultivates and sells transportation solutions to new and existing customers.
• Calls on prospects to explain features, costs and advantages of the company's various services. Plans and directs flow of ocean traffic moving to overseas destinations.
• Opens files on the dedicated software system for each shipment.
• Ships freight, prepares documentation and waybilling, assesses charges, and collects fees for shipments.
• Negotiates with domestic customers, as intermediary for foreign customers, to resolve problems and arrive at mutual agreements.

Requirements

• Strong organization skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage priorities
• Intermediate to Advanced user with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
• Analytical
• Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise while exercising diplomacy
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Self-motivated, takes initiative
• Willingness to cross-train, as air and ocean pricing will be required for the position
• Three - five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. College experience a must, a degree is preferred.
